Hélio Celso Silva Suarez is a Brazilian pianist, composer and arranger.
As a solo artist, it seems he has released 5 albums since 1990. But it looks he has participated in many other albums as a support musician.
He appears to be active and performing as "Hélio Celso trio" mainly in Brazil.
The earliest ally
Since "Catupiry", the debut album of Lisa Ono, which was mainly recorded in Brazil in 1989, Hélio Celso had supported her as a composer and arranger.
The timing is not known, but he married with her around early '90s, and continued to help her until they split later.

Rich & masterful
This seems to be an authentic Bossa nova song with gorgeous sound of masterful play by the seasoned Brazilian musicians.
The drums, wood bass, electric guitar, percussion, piano, and the strings start the ensemble and play a gorgeous introduction.
Acoustic guitar, alto sax, flute and the vocal soon join, and perform main melody.
The music is rich in sound, and is more like a Jazz combo than typical Bossa nova.
Soft, breezy voice
Lisa Ono's vocal is soft, natural and breezy as if she was born to sing Bossa nova.
Perhaps she was entering the last year of her twenties, when recording this album in 1992.
So, her voice and skill might have been in very good balance at that time.

Lisa Ono is a Brazilian born Japanese singer, songwriter, and guitarist particularly active in Bossa Nova and Brazilian music field since 1988.
She debuted in Feb.1989 with single "You're so unique". Since then, 9 singles, and 33 original, plus 12 best albums have been released until now.
It's been 30 years since she debuted. Now she is recognized as a leading artist in a Brazilian music, and popular in many countries in Asia.
Bossa Nova in Japan
It seems that the Brazilian music, especially Bossa Nova. (Now Samba as well.), has some affinity to the Japanese.
Already in the mid '60s, Japanese musicians, started to create Bossa Nova taste tracks. only within 10 years after the 1st Bossa Nova number "Chega de Saudade" was released by João Gilberto in 1958.
At the same time, quite a few of Brazilian Bossa Nova instrumental numbers were also introduced, and used as lounge music, soundscapes for TV programs, or BGM(Background music) for Highway Radio which broadcasts highway traffic information for the drivers.

The debut of Lisa Ono
Although there were quite a few very core fans for Bossa Nova or Brazilian music, the vast majority were soft fans.
Such light fans of Bossa Nova (like us) were actually enjoying Japanese made Bossa Nova songs in Japanese with no particular care.
A Fresh Surprise
Therefore, the debut of Lisa Ono was a real surprise for both core and light fans.
Since she was singing authentic Bossa Nova perfectly beautifully in her debut album "Catupiry"(1989).
Light fans were realized how is the genuine Bossa Nova like. And core fans are shocked by the emergence of such a talented Bossa Nova singer from Japan.
30 years anniversary
Now 2018, 30 years has been past since Lisa Ono debuted in 1989.
Interestingly, it coincides with the 60 years anniversary of Bossa Nova from the release of the 1st Bossa Nova song "Chega de Saudade" in 1958.

It seems she is having a big concert tour as a "LISA ONO 30th Anniversary Tour" and going to visit a number of cities all over the world.
