This is a little down-tempo like relaxed Nu-Jazz with vocal in slow 8 beat rhythm.
Relaxed
The drums, bass, keyboard, and electric piano start to play a laid-back introduction.
In the main part, "chihiRo"'s relaxed vocal sings a main melody in an interesting way, as if she is a kind of instruments, rather than a human.
The brass section, and strings later join, and add a gorgeous atmosphere to the ensemble.

"JiLL-Decoy association" (or Jill-Deco) is a unique 3-piece pop vocal & instrumental group active since 2002.
Their sound is in somewhere between Contemporary Jazz, Nu-Jazz, Club music, and Soft rock, or to put it in another way, it may be an "amorphous music".
"JiLL-Decoy association" debuted in 2002 with a single, "like ameba". Since then, 12 singles, and 9 studio albums, 6 mini albums, 3 cover and 1 live album have been released until now.

Early times
A unique pops, soul and Jazz integrated group, "JiLL-Decoy association" was formed in 2002, by 3 members namely, "kubota" (Guitar), "towada" (drums) & "chihiRo" (vocal).
According to some interviews, one of the member "kubota" was learning the Jazz guitar in New York around year 2000.
He returned to Japan in 2002. While he was taking part in various Jam sessions, met with a drummer "towada" who was playing at Jazz-funk band.
"kubota" and "towada" hit it off well, and they agreed to form a band.
It seems they had an intention to make the band have a vocalist. Then, they asked a singer "chihiRock" (chihiRo), who was active in rock & pops field, to join.
After these 3 individual musicians have different vectors gathered, "JiLL-Decoy association" was born.
Debut
The band has started their activity as a live performance group.
Because each members had a different preference for music, they struggled to make up their sound.
But after yeas of try and error, "JiLL-Decoy association" established their own style, and in June 2006, the band finally debuted with their first single, "like ameba".
Even, "JiLL-Decoy association" was performing their music, it was not properly understood by the listeners.
Jazz fans said "I see. It is a variation of J-pop". and J-pop fans commented, "Oh dear. They are performing dense music..."
Like that way, "JiLL-Decoy association" experienced common challenges for pioneers.
Jolly Jolly
In the late 2006, "JiLL-Decoy association" released a stylish pop tune, "Jolly Jolly" as their 2nd single.
This sunny track was selected as an opening theme for a cute & mysterious horror anime series, ""RED GARDEN", in the same year.
A little maniac anime film became a fair hit, and attracted a lot of core fans.
And thanks to this movie, the name of "JiLL-Decoy association" became recognized.
In March 2007, the band released a new pop-rock song "Wa" (ring, circle ) as their 3rd single.
This energetic, and lively track was also chosen as a closing jingle of a very popular TV variety show (Guru Guru 99).
By this bonus, the name of "JiLL-Decoy association" has established in the market.
Award
Helped by these early successes, "JiLL-Decoy association" became increasingly popular among people, especially the fans of club music, contemporary jazz, and progressive style J-pop.
"Jill-Deco" had continued to release albums in a rather exceptional high pace as a band plays creative & specialized music.
And finally in 2013, their 5th full album, "Jill-Deco 5" received an Album Award in the 55th Japan Record Award.
Collaboration
In 2014, "JiLL-Decoy association" released their 6th album, "Jill-Deco 6 Just a Hunch".
On this album, they collaborated with a prominent Club music diva, "Monday Michiru", and a guitarist "Masaki Mori" from a distinctive music unit "EGO-WRAPPIN'", where a popular vocalist "Yoshie Nakano" belongs to.
Thanks to the participation of those brilliant musicians, This album achieved a very good quality.
It seems the members of "JiLL-Decoy association" are always looking for someone, or something that could inspire them.
Recent
Through the 17 years of energetic & steady music activities, "JiLL-Decoy association" has become a major player in the popular music scene.
But in late 2019, the group announced that their guitarist "kubota" will be leaving the group by the end of March 2020.
It is a bit shocking news, but if "kubota" is doing something new, we would like to support.
Other members will continue the group according to the announcement.
