Early days
topic auditioned a famous talent scout TV variety show, "Star Tanjō" (A star is born) In 1982.
And this seems to be he 1st challenge to be a professional singer.
In 1986, "Noda" entered an open to the public vocalist contest, "Yamaha Vocal audition, The debut", which was sponsored by "Yamaha".
Luckily, she won the grand prize in this contest, and registered by Yamaha music foundation as a singer to be debuted soon.
And in 1987, "Mikiko Noda" was debut as a new singer by releasing her 1st single, "Taiyou-kamisama-shonen" (The sun, gods, and a boy).
Girls pop movement
From the late "80s to the mid '90s, quite a few of notable female singer, or singer-songwriters were debuted.
It was particularly intensified in the early '90s, and people sometimes called in a "Girls pop movement".
In this context, singers like "Mikiko Noda", "Yumi Tanimura", or "Chisato Moritaka" who all debuted in 1987, could be called as pioneers.
Actually, because of the success by above talented singers, the "Girls pop movement" were perhaps ignited.
Velvety voice
"Mikiko Noda", and "Yumi Tanimura" were often compared since the beginning, because they debuted in the same year (1987), and both were singing stylish, and refined type of pop music.
A smooth, moist and gentle vocal of "Mikiko Noda" was often called as "Velvety voice", in contrast with the "Crystal voice" of "Yumi Tanimura" which was shiny and really high-pitched.
Elegant
During the "Girls pop movement", so many nice albums of attractive singers were released next by next, and the person like "Satsuma" was often facing the run out of allowance. (Still the same...)
But among those talented female singer-songwriters, we feel "Mikiko Noda"'s music is one of the most elegant and stylish.
Sommelière
In 1997, she successfully passed a domestic qualification exam for Sommelier.
Since then, she worked closely with a leading Sommelière, "Shinya Tasaki", and brushed uo her knowledges and skills.
Then she became a senior sommelière and a cheese professional at the moment.
In fact, her style of music, and the world of wine seems to be a perfect match for our eyes.
Recent
"Mikiko Noda" is till constantly releasing albums.
In 2016, she launched a new live album to celebrate her, "Canon-na Yakai 50th Birthday Special Live".
In 2017, another live album "debut 30th Live "Uramikko & Uracanon" (Other side of Mikko, other side of Canon.) was released to celebrate her 30 years anniversary from debut.
And in 2018, one more live album, "Toujours l'ete, Toujours avec toi" (Always summer, always with you.) has been released.
