About the creators
A lyricist, "Takashi Matsumoto" and a composer "Kyohei Tsutsumi" are both big names of the popular music in Japan. The songs they have tagged often become a big hit, so they might be one of the dream team.
"Takashi Matsumoto" debuted as a drummer of legendary rock group "Happy end" in 1969.
In the band, writing lyrics entirely became his role, but his lyrics quickly received attention from music society by their uniqueness, and after the break up of "Happy end", he started his new lyricist career in 1972.
Since then, his performance is just excellent and continue to be one of the greatest lyricist in J-pop. For more details, please check the wikipedia.
"Kyohei Tsutsumi" is another main pillar of the J-pop but he is one of the most well known composer in Japanese popular music particularly in the main stream category.
Since '60s, his showing has been really great, for example he won the annual best selling composer position 10 times in 2 decades, namely '70s and the '80s.'
Mitsuo Hagita is also a known professional arranger in the J-pop. He had been particularly active from late '70s to the early '90s, and released many excellent works.

- Sound impressions
Light, comfortable Bossa Nova
This is a Bossa nova touch mellow pop song.
The basic part of this light, comfortable Bossa Nova melody is played by an ensemble of the acoustic guitar, bass and the drums.
The rich strings part creates an elegant atmosphere, and the tweeting flute accents the cuteness.
And an impressive sound of the cembalo adds a classy image to the song.
Hiromi Ohta's charactoristic high-tone pretty voice also attarcts the listeners every time.
- About the artist
A song writing princess
Hiromi Ohta debuted in 1974 with single "Amadare"(raindrops from a roof). Since then, 31 singles, and 23 original, 21 best, and 2 live albums has been released until now.
(Wikipedia, Hiromi Ohta)
She is one of the pioneering singer & song writer, for the Japan's new style pop songs of the '70s, called "New music".
"New music" is a vague term, but basically means a modern and refined, western style pop music, kept some distance from the main stream pop music at that time.
Its brand new melody and lyrics sounded much differently from the old style J-pop songs, for the ears of the young, who have the mentality of urban residents.
In the mid '70s, young female singers newly debuted were often wore a princess looking feminine dress whenever appearing on TV, we don't know why though.
This interesting custom was also applied to her. Luckily she looked so good in such dresses particularly in white ones.
Thanks to this, her initial image of elegant princess was formed among the audience.
There are many nice mellow tunes in her large song line up. We would like to post them occasionally from now on.
