The song title "Kohaku no mahou" (The magic of amber) means a cup of coffee in Japan. It is an aesthetic expression rarely used recently.
The artist name "EPO" pronounces simply [épo], not [iːpiːoː]. It's a nickname for her when she was a child, according to the wiki.
This song is originally written for a mini music program for children, aired on the NHK Educational in 1993.

The song was later included in her 18th album "UVA" released in 1995 from EMI MUSIC JAPAN INC. And covered again in a recent her best album, "EPO Golden Best" of 2011.
The song is written by EPO herself. But this beautiful Latin song arrangement is supported by Shigeharu Sasago, known as a guitarist, and composer of Latin music.

This is a calm & peaceful acoustic Latin music in middle speed.
A beautiful ensemble of the acoustic guitar, double bass, and percussions brings a warm and sleepy tropical afternoon atmosphere.
In Japan, "the magic of amber" is a poetic way of saying "coffee".
That expression might be comeing from a catch phrase of an old TV commercial, or possibly from a lyrics of an old song like "Coffee Rumba", quite a few of old generation can still understand the meaning of the phrase.

And for the Japanese people, coffee has a strong image of Brazil because of heavy advertising, and a history of immigration.
That maybe why the coffee music usually arranged in tropical taste.
In the song, you might pick up an impressive good luck charm like lyrics "Shan-kare-ukioo. "Shan-kare-ukioo".
No one knew the meaning of this, but the song was famous among children as a song of "Shan-kare-ukioo" at that time.
