"Yukinojō Mori" is a leading poet, lyricist, and composer active in J-pop since the early '70s.
Singer to lyricist
He started his career in music as a singer and songwriter in 1973.
In 1976, he had a chance to write a lyrics for a very popular band called "The drifters".
Luckily, this song became a smash hit, and he was recognized as a professional lyricist.
As a hit song maker
Since then, his performance is remarkable. From the mid '70s to the '80s, he wrote dozens of super hit songs, and quickly became a leading lyricist in popular music category.
And now, the number of songs he wrote exceed 2000.
Around the early '80s, he expanded his field to rock and Anime music. And has also created many nice songs.
And with no doubt, he is one of the most prominent lyricist in J-pop.

Yasuharu OguraArranger
"Yasuharu Ogura" is a keyboardist, composer, and arranger active since the early '80s.
He has been a important person in Anri's discography. But he has been also a indispensable supporting player for the band or musicians like "Exile", "Toshiki Kadomatsu", "Thelma Aoyama" and etc.
"Yasuharu Ogura" and "Toshiki Kadomatsu" got to know each other through a friend in the early "80s.
"Toshiki Kadomatsu" who just started a produce for Anri, invited "Ogura" for his project in (perhaps) 1983. And it became a starting point for "Ogura" to join.
Since then, he has been one of the most important member for Anri's music production.
As a band master of the "Anri band", he's been still supporting the singer "Anri" firmly.

Tropical & dance-able
This seems to be a smiling and bouncy pop song with some tropical taste in "rocksteady" like comfortable 8th-note rhythm.
After the crash cymbal signals the start, tha bass, drums, Tabla(?), keyboard, and electric guitar join for introduction.
In the verse, rich chorus fill in. and breezy, resort like laid back atmosphere continues throughout the song.
And Anri's relaxed clear voice is especially attractive.

AnriThe tropical queen
Anri is a singer, songwriter, and composer active since 1978.
Because she has released quite a few albums of tropical taste, we often think of her as the "tropical queen".
She debuted in 1978 with single "Olivia wo kiki-nagara" (Listening to Olivia). Since then, 46 singles, and 25 original, 1 live, and 12 best albums have been released until now.

A lucky newbie
Interestingly, her debut song, "Olivia wo kiki-nagara" became a super slow hit, which was selling well even in the 1996.
17 professional singers has released the cover version of this song, and the latest one was in 2016. [by 知英, Ji-yeong (지영) or JY]
So, almost doubtlessly this song has become, and has been a standard number.
Since debut to 1982, she had blessed with an OK level hit song every year.
We can say she was fortunate enough.
CAT'S ♥ EYE
In 1983, she took on a new challenge for an Anime theme music titled CAT'S♥EYE.
CAT'S♥EYE was originally a comics drawn by a talented cartoonist "Tsukasa Hōjō", serialized from 1981 to 1984.
Because the comics was so popular, it was soon made into an anime series in 1983.
In the early '80s, the majority of people still assume that the Anime songs are for juvenile.
So, like many of us, Anri herself was not expecting anything great for this song either.
However, this song gradually gained popularity, and finally climbed to the top of the national charts.
CAT'S♥EYE ultimately sold more than a million disks, and became an important milestone on Anime song history.
And certainly, this has been one of Anri's most well known song.
Thereafter, and recent activities
"Anri" quickly became one of the most favoured pop singer. And started releasing more hit songs.
But we would like to have a pause now before the article gets too long, and continue to write it on next time,
She is still quite active, and recently released her 1st studio live album titled "FUNTIME" in 2017.
The sound of "One-shot (or one-time)" live recording with no digital correction reminds us the joy of music.
This is a charming album, and might be particularly inspiring for long-time fans of Anri, who have grown up with her.
