Miho Yonemitsu is basically a singer, but writes a lyrics in collaboration with a lyricist, or whole part by herself sometimes.
"Kaori Kano"(Caoli Cano) is a known singer-songwriter and a producer with her delicate & artistic music works, and beautiful angel voice.
She has been a master brewer of "Sake"(Japanese traditional alcoholic beverage, rice wine) as well, at a family run traditional brewery known by its brand "Keisen".
The brewery is located in a popular tourism destination of Kurikoma-city, Miyagi, Tōhoku. And she inherited it as the head of the 12th generations.

He started his career as a backing member of "Chisato Moritaka" band.
Later, he debuted as a member of a unique experimental pop group "Spank happy" which known singer-song writer "Midori Hara" and a Jazz musician "Naruyoshi Kikuchi(sax)" used to belong to.

- Sound impressions
Slow pop ballad
This seems to be a typical slow pop ballad of the '90s.
At the beginning, an ensemble of the acoustic & electric guitars, bass, keyboards, and the drums start in concert, and a beautiful chorus of "Kaori Kano" also start and add a nice touch to the song.
The melody increasingly become richer thanks to the additonal keyboards and electric piano.
Miho Yonemitsu's lively straight vocal matches well with a fresh and pure image of the song.

- About the artist
Songbird of the Performance dolls
As a solo singer, Miho Yonemitsu debuted in 1990 with single "Yokan". Since then, 18 singles, and 9 original albums has been released until now.
(Wikipedia, Miho Yonemitsu)
Miho Yonemitsu was one of the 7 primary members of a pioneering girls dance and vocal unit "Tokyo Performance Doll(TPD)" formed in 1990 and continued to be active until 1996.
Actually their performance was quite good compared with the similar units at that time. and Miho Yonemitsu had a particular presence in the team with her excellent vocals.
There is a few of video clips of them in youtube, so, please check them if you are interested, though we cannot link them since the origins of them are unknown.
Instead of them, we would like to introduce a official video clip of the 2nd generation TPD which has formed in 2013 with very selected, totally new 10 members.
We wish the videos could give you some ideas about them.
*As usual, the clips may look sexy for the people in the strict countries.(dancing in cheerleader like costume.) So, please open with care if you are sensitive for such. Thank you.
In 1994, Miho Yonemitsu "graduated"(left) from the team, and started a solo career.
Her first solo single released in 1994 was "Anata-dake Kanjite"(Feeling only you.) produced by Toshiki Kadomatsu, the maestro of the "City-pop".
This affected for her later directions. Her music bacame somewhat unique "healthy city-pop" taste, and shared a position in the girls pop movement of the '90s.
She is continueing the activities from her hometown Hiroshima in her own pace.
We would like to post a topic about her on the music, if we find some from the music news sites.
