About the creators
Kaori Kuno is good at writing both lyrics and melodies perhaps because of her poetic sense and musical background as a saxophonist.
Her cute & delicate lyrics, and pop & mellow melodies always attracts the wide range of music fans.
Nobuyuki Shimizu is a long serving keyboardist, composer and an arranger in a popular song field.
He debuted as a member of a "blink-and-you'll-miss-it" group, "Kinokuni-ya band" in 1976, which left only one superb Fusion(with vocal) album "Sweet sensation", and quickly broke up.
In 1980, he participated a produce of EPO's debut album. EPO is one of the most well known singer-songwriter in J-pop now, but she was a junior of him at high school as well.
This became a springboard for him to be a professional arranger, since then, he has been involved in the arrangement works of the many hit songs by the various artists.

- Sound impressions
Sunny & refreshing
This is a refreshing light pop music in comfortably accelerated speed.
The bass, drums, and percussion seems to be a programming of a sequencer. The 3 different sounds of keyboard, and a synthesizer brass might be a multi-track recording of Nobuyuki Shimizu's own play.
In fact, he is one of the pioneer for such creative style. The sound mix is well harmonizing and supporting the vocal.
One of the remarkable forte of Kaori Kuno is her pure, clear and healing touch voices for singing a song.
In this album, her vocal seems to have gained some poise and become more relaxing and attractive.

- About the artist
Singer-songwriter & saxophonist
Kaori Kuno debuted in 1988 with single "Luna". Since then, 11 original, 1 best albums seems to be released until now. The number of singles released remains unclear. (Luna records, Kaori Kuno)
Her jazzy and tasteful melodies were unique in the category, and attracted an attention since debut.
And a song titled "Tsuki-no sabaku-kara"(From the desert on the moon), a beautiful ballad from her first album "Luna", was adopted for a theme music of a popular TV variety show. And her name became known among fans of the music.
Her elegant melodies might come from her musical background. She learned the saxophone at Kunitachi College of Music.
(Active Jazz sax player "Masato Honda" is her junior in college.)
Actually she is a full-fledged sax player and released few albums.
It maybe a reason, that sax solo like passages are often appears in her vocal songs and adding a good effect.
She is continueing the activities and we would liek to post if any news.
Curious to say, the most of her earlier albums are virtually not reachable except this "Concord", only album fully made available in digital format.
Even the best albums has not yet been released, then we have no means to introduce excellent her earlier tunes for you.
Pop and elegant her musics are pretty flowers of the J-pop.
We don't know what internal factor is behind the situation, but wish it would be quickly solved and become convenient again.
