Sunny & bouncing
This is a sunny bouncing pop music in 4 beats marching rhythm.
Just after a play of grand introduction theme by acoustic piano and the bar chimes, the ensemble of the bass, drums, horns, and the acoustic piano starts buoyant marching rhythm.
Quick strumming of the electric guitar creates a stable rhythm and a twinkling tone of the Glockenspiel adds a sparkle to the melody.
A beautiful harmony of the chorus and the horns enrich the sound, and Tatsuro Yamashita's clear vocal is a music to the ears. The musicians are,

Dōji Fuefuki | Recording & Mixing Engineer |
Credited mixing engineer "Dōji Fuefuki" is actually Mr."Ei-ichi Ōtaki", a former member of the "Happy end".
His music is famous with its characteristic tone, called "Ōtaki sound".
The recording of this album was lead by him, so the all songs are somewhat in a unique "Ōtaki" acoustic space, and this tune as well.
So, this song can be said as an interesting mix of "Tatsuro" music and "Ohtaki" sound.
Here is an example of typical "Ōtaki" sound.

Now, Tatsuro Yamashita is one of the biggest name in J-pop, but his professional career has been started from the band named "Sugar babe" formed in 1973.
Their music was revolutionary melodious, danceable and stylish compared with the popular music in Japan at that time. So, now they are admired as one of the roots of the modern J-pop.
"Sugar babe" first belonged to the record label named "Niagara", which was a private label for "Ei-ichi Ōtaki". They released first single and an album through the label in 1975.
In 1976, the "Sugar babe" was broke up, but Yamashita and Ōtaki was keeping a tight communication in a creative work of music.
Some time before the break up, Ōtaki had proposed to produce a collective album with Yamashita and other member Ginji Itoh. That was this album "Niagara triangle Vol.1" released in 1976.
All songs in the album are enjoyable pop music even for the modern ears. Please give it a try if you have a chance.
